Our goal

We want every child and every parent to be able to enjoy StoryNest. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

What we already do

  • Sufficient colour contrast in light and night mode.
  • Full keyboard navigation with visible focus and a "skip to content" link.
  • Screen-reader labels, semantic headings and landmarks; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Respect for "reduce motion" settings and an extra switch to turn animations off.
  • Large touch targets, scalable text, right-to-left layout for Arabic.
  • Stories are available as text and audio; videos have subtitles.

Known limitations

  • Burned-in video subtitles cannot be resized; the same text is available on the story page.
  • This statement is a self-assessment and has not yet been externally audited.
